Yes its probably 18 due to a lot of their merchandise would be over labor laws(Office furniture, office chairs, computers). 16 year olds are not supposed to lift boxes over a certain pound limit. Also if they do a lot of stocking you have to be 18 to use the forklift, and a lot of places you have to be 18 to carry a box cutter. There is few places like that where I live that you have to be 18. The first answerer is wrong.

It is 18, but if you don’t believe Home Depot, how do you expect to get a believable answer here?

I would think that you would have to be at least 18 years to 21 years of age to start working. Your statements just lets me know, that there are different age requirements for different businesses. So, I would suggest you call the company again if you are not sure, or you are not happy with her answer, or you can always call the corporate office.
Also, what made you doubt her answer? Well anyway as I said the best thing to do is , just call them and find out.
