Shopping Topper

I have always frequented yard sales, garage sales, estate sales, and flea markets. I began collecting antiques as a hobby. I have furnished and decorated my home with many of the items that I have purchased. My latest find was a beautiful set of antique teak furniture. I found it at an estate sale. It was well cared for. Although the set is over one hundred years old, it still looks brand new. I decided to put the furniture in my sun room. The sun shines into the room very brightly, but teak will not fade due to the sunlight. I have been looking for furniture for the room for quite some time. I finally found exactly what I was looking for… an antique furniture set that is perfect because it will not fade.

Thanksgiving dinner is the one big meal I cook every year for my family.  We have lots of casual cook-outs and birthday dinners, but none so special as Thanksgiving.  On that day I set the table with my best bone china, silver and crystal.  I also want to use beautiful table linens.  I have several different sets.  One I purchased at an Anichini outlet, one at a Yves Delorme outlet and one was given to me by my husband. I love any time I have an excuse to use my fine table linens.
