You can actually repair a projection tv on your own most of the time, as there may be only a minor problem. Holding down the menu button down for about ten seconds generally gets your TV started although you are required to turn off the front panel buttons on menu for this purpose. Sometimes, putting the TV in standby mode for a long time cools off weak capacitors that prevent a certain section of the power supply from firing up again. This problem can be fixed by simply warming the back of your TV with a hair dryer for a few minutes after unplugging it to repair your projection TV immediately.
